Shelly Mixson, DMD

Dr. Shelly enjoys dentistry because it allows her to create long-lasting relationships with her patients while putting her artistic and science-related skills to work. Dr. Shelly originally entered into the healthcare field as a registered nurse, but has been serving patients as a dentist in the greater Atlanta area for more than two decades. She believes that good oral health promotes other healthy habits that keep patients strong and happy. Dr. Shelly was part of Flying Doctors of America where she served as a medical missionary to Peru. She and her husband enjoy spending time with their two children and their two pets, a Maine coon cat and a “Dachsador” dog (a mix between a lab and a dachshund). As a Florida native, Dr. Shelly cheers for both Florida State University and her alma mater, University of Florida!
